On Thursday (27th) Taylor Wimpey received planning permission for the next phase of homes at Wellesley in Aldershot.

Rushmoor Borough Council granted reserved matters planning approval for 430 new homes at the Stanhope Gardens zone, delivering a mixture of open market homes and affordable homes, including one-bedroom apartments and one, two, three, four and five-bedroom houses.

Paul McGowan, Director of Land at Grainger plc, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Taylor Wimpey to Wellesley. Their commitment to creating long lasting communities is a perfect fit for our growing neighbourhood. The design of their new homes will enable families to put down roots and call Wellesley home for generations to come. We look forward to them starting on site with us later this year.”

David Peycke, Land & Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey West London, said: “We are delighted to have received reserved matters approval for 430 new homes in the growing community at Wellesley. We will also be providing an attractive linear park for residents to enjoy and, with a wealth of community facilities and green open space on the doorstep, Stanhope Gardens will be a fantastic place to call home.

“We look forward to working with Grainger on the next chapter of this exciting new neighbourhood and can’t wait to start construction work on site this summer.”

Stanhope Gardens will form part of the Wellesley consortium development of up to 3,850 new homes together with community facilities, schools, open spaces, a neighbourhood centre and the Wellesley Woodlands.
