Partial closure of Queens Avenue Saturday 22nd April – Sunday 23rd April 2023
From Saturday 22nd April 2023 – Sunday 23rd April 2023 we will be closing off sections of Queens Avenue, to carry out repair works to the carriageway.
On Saturday 22nd April there will be a temporary closure of Queens Avenue carriageway north of Hospital Road up to the junction at Alison’s Road.
On Sunday 23rd of April there will be a temporary closure of Queens Avenue carriageway north of Pennefather’s Road to south of Hope Grants and West Hope Grant Roads junction.
Temporary diversion signs will be in place for vehicle traffic to use alternative routes via A323 Wellington Road and A325 Farnborough Road – please see on the reverse an indicative map showing alternative vehicle routes. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will still be available via the footpaths on either side of Queens Avenue.
We have worked with Stagecoach to ensure their services can continue to operate. The bus stops currently outside Aldershot Centre for Health on Queens Avenue are being moved to Pennefather’s Road. We will be suspending all parking along Pennefather’s Road while these works take place to enable easy access for buses. Please use lay-by areas on Pennefather’s Road or Montgomery Avenue for parking.
