Wellesley is located in Aldershot, a thriving town in an idyllic setting. Steeped in iconic military heritage, the new community boasts a wide range of local amenities, green spaces, sporting facilities and excellent road and rail connections.


The Cambridge Primary School sits at the heart of Wellesley. After opening in 2018, the school nurtures pupils living in the area.

Other nearby well-regarded schools for younger children include Wellington Community Primary School as well as Talavera Infant and Junior Schools. For older students, there is The Wavell School, Alderwood all through School and All Hallows Catholic School. Neighbouring Farnborough is home to two award-winning colleges a 10-minute drive from Wellesley, Farnborough College of Technology and Farnborough Sixth Form College.


At the centre of Wellesley will be the Neighbourhood Centre. A bustling hub of activity featuring a convenience store for everyday essentials, a public house, nursery and community building.

Wellesley’s unique location sees residents benefit of being less than a 10-minute walk to Aldershot town centre, where a selection of high-street, independent and supermarket stores can be found. Wellesley is also surrounded by neighbouring market towns of Farnham, Fleet and Farnborough offering a variety of independent and high street brands.

For larger shopping destinations, residents of Wellesley can visit nearby towns such a Guildford and Basingstoke in under 30 minutes.

Food and Drink

Aldershot town centre offers a good mix of places to eat and drink, including a selection of local pubs and wine bars, nestled among independent cafés and restaurants, covering a range of cuisines. Popular chain restaurants and casual dining options can be found at The Wellington Centre and Westgate Leisure Park in the town.

Wellesley is lucky enough to have its very own Wellesley Woodlands – 110HA of beautiful green space connected by trails through different habitats, perfectly located for picnics, canal-side walks, cycling and jogging.

Sports enthusiasts will be able to take advantage of the many local sporting facilities on offer at Wellesley. From Olympic size swimming pools and a gymnastics academy to an outdoor Ski Centre and Angling clubs, there certainly is something for all tastes.

For those who are looking for a bit of culture, the local area is home to two theatres, two museums, and two cinemas each offering a wide range of exhibitions, showings and productions – you are spoilt for choice!


Wellesley offers the best of both worlds — the freedom of country living, together with fast connections to London and other major cities.

Commuters will be pleased to know that Wellesley has easy access to major road and rail networks. Aldershot Train Station is a 10-minute walk from Wellesley, while North Camp and Farnborough Main station are both under a 10-minute drive. All see regular train services to London Waterloo, Guildford, Woking and Clapham Junction.

The M3, provides easy access Winchester, Southampton and London. Local roads include the A31, leading to Farnham and the A3, which connects to Portsmouth.

For business and private air travel, Farnborough airport is only around 10 minutes away. While for national and international flights, Heathrow airport is around 30 minutes’ drive and Gatwick Airport is just under an hour away.
