Congratulations to the staff and pupils at Talavera Junior School, who had a full inspection from Her Majesty’s Ofsted Inspectors last month and concluded the school is Outstanding in ALL areas.
This is amazing news, as the School has been on a journey since 2009 when it was put into special measures after receiving an “Inadequate” report. Since then the school has worked hard to go on to be graded “Satisfactory” in 2011 and then improved further to achieve a “Good” rating in 2013.
Talavera Junior School has been led by Mrs Amanda Webb, Head teacher over the past 3 years with support from her leadership team, teaching staff, support staff and her community. Mrs Webb believes that every child has the right to an exceptional education to prepare them for lifelong learning. She believes every child should achieve their absolute potential, with a sense of moral purpose. This vision was echoed throughout the report which explained that the school has been led ‘with determination, tenacity and moral purpose’. It discusses the rapid progress children make and the high aspirations the school has for each child. Behaviour is simply described as outstanding!
The school are incredibly proud of this achievement for the community, that deserves an outstanding school for their children. Please see their website for the full report.
