Please be aware that on Monday 11th May we are restarting our works to create a junction at the end of Pennefathers Road onto Farnborough Road.
Our contractor is adhering to Government Guidelines to ensure that all staff and the public are safe at all times.
The junction will allow cars to turn left out of Pennefathers Road onto Farnborough Road and turn left from Farnborough Road into Pennefathers Road.
The first phase of works are expected to be completed by summer (due to Covid-19 our original programme has been delayed) – and during this time traffic management will be in place. There is also a signed diversion route for pedestrian and cyclist access through Knollys Road and Queens Avenue.
Once phase one is complete, we will then move on to phase two which will see a safe pedestrian crossing created across Farnborough Road. The programme for the second stage of works will be finalised once further survey/ design works have been agreed with the County Council. The survey works involved can not be carried out until Phase One is completed.

We do apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause.
