Ribbon of Poppies
I’m sure you will have seen that to mark the Centenary of WW1, Aldershot is taking part in the Ribbon of Poppies initiative, which will see poppies being sewn across the borough. Here at Wellesley we are taking part by sewing poppies in the grass areas by the Wellington Statue and on some of our prominent roundabouts. More information about the project can be found on the ‘Ribbon of Poppies Aldershot Garrison’ Facebook page.

Educating the future workforce
Here at Wellesley we are working with our contractors to ensure that employment and training opportunities across the site are offered to local people. From May, we will be hosting a 10-week Work Experience programme where local college students will come and learn from our experts all about the different careers that go into creating a housing development such as Wellesley.

Armed Forces Day
Saturday 30 June – there will be an Armed Forces Day parade throughout Aldershot Town Centre to say thank you to our Armed Forces. More information will be available on our website nearer the event.

Victoria Day
Saturday 9th June – Aldershot’s very own carnival will be lining the streets of Aldershot town centre as part of a one-day family fun day.
