Carla joined the Wellesley team in 2016 as Community Development Manager.

What are your key responsibilities within this role?

My role is to enable the Wellesley community to get the most out of living here and ensure that they are able to access everything on offer.

What part of the new neighbourhood are you most excited about?

Seeing the beautiful historic buildings, such as the Cambridge Military Hospital being brought back into use. Once renovated it is going to be amazing!

What is your favourite thing about the area?

Aldershot has so many great facilities right on its doorstep – from an outdoor lido and cinema to a ski slope and two theatres, there is something for everyone.

What would be your one recommendation for anyone visiting Wellesley and the surrounding area?

I live near Wellesley and my little boy and I regularly visit the Wellesley Woodlands for an adventure – they are beautiful – clear accessible trails, canal-side walks and lakes – there is lots to explore.

What do you think makes Aldershot special?

The people – I have never known a town where the community is so proud of where they live and will go above and beyond to see it strive.
